Itinerary


Day 1: Huon Valley
Your tour commences by meeting your Tasmanian Coach Captain in the foyer of the Old Woolstore, Hobart at 10:00am. After introductions are made, board the coach and travel to the Huon Valley where you will visit a local handweaving studio. Visit Grandvewe Cheeses before it's time to enjoy lunch at the award winning Peppermint Bay Restaurant. After lunch board your luxury catamaran, Peppermint Bay II for a relaxing and rejuvenating voyage back to Hobart.

Day 2: Hobart
After breakfast this morning walk across to the Hobart waterfront and experience Tasmania's largest weekly market. The Salamanca Market is the perfect place to pick up some of our famous handmade crafts. You'll also have time to explore this historic precinct before meeting the coach back at the hotel. Travel out to Barilla Bay Oyster farm where after a short tour you will enjoy lunch in their restaurant overlooking Barilla Bay. In the afternoon visit the historic township of Richmond before completing your day with a wine tasting at Meadowbank Estate Vineyard. Tonight's dinner is at the famous Mure's Restaurant on Hobart's Waterfront.

Day 3: Heritage Highway
This morning visit the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens before leaving Hobart to head north to Launceston up the Heritage Highway. Along the way stop at the township of Oatlands to visit a local knitwear, were you can inspect some of the handmade products before having a light lunch here. Prior to arriving in Launceston visit Woolmers Estate at Longford, Australia finest example of a pioneer farm of the early 1800's.

Day 4: Tasmanian Craft Fair
After breakfast this morning travel to the country township of Deloraine. Visit a local silk artwork display which has been created by over 300 local artists. For the remainder of the day you will be able to explore Tasmania's largest annual craft fair. With exhibitors coming from all over the state this is truly a craft enthusiasts paradise. Complimentary busses are provided to transport you between the 12 venues and for lunch you will be able to tempt your tastebuds at one of the many gourmet food stalls. On your return to Launceston tonight after freshening up visit the award winning Fluid Restaurant for dinner.

Day 5: Launceston
Your last day of your tour has you taking a guided tour of Launceston before making your way to the Tasmanian Gourmet Sauce Company at Evandale. From here travel to a local winery to indulge one last time in some wine tastings and lunch to complete your tour. Make your way back to Launceston (or be dropped off at Launceston Airport) were your tour concludes at approximately 2:30pm.
