Introduction

Opening in March 2000, Groups Tasmania was established as a licensed Travel Agency by David Luttrell.

As a Tourism Tasmania employee David saw the opportunity to establish a diverse agency specialising in a multitude of areas within Tasmania's Tourism industry e.g. groups, coach tours, conferences, special events, incentives, car clubs, school groups and general travel services.

With business demands becoming increasingly high, Groups Tasmania now employs a total 3 people all former Tourism Tasmania staff members and with no one less than 10 years experience selling Tasmania as a tourist destination.

Meet the Staff

DAVID LUTTRELL (Owner)
David is a born and bred Tasmanian having lived here all his life. After 10 years with Tourism Tasmania, David's dream was to establish a diverse business that specialised in organising inbound coach tours, conferences, special events for clubs, incentives and general travel services. Today Groups Tasmania is stronger than ever with 5 employees including a Sales Manager in Victoria.

BRETT GILLOW (Office Manager)
Brett is also a born and bred Tasmanian. Like David he also spent 5 years at Tourism Tasmania as he made his way in the tourism industry. In 2002 he joined Groups Tasmania as its Senior Consultant and today after 5 years with the company he holds the position of Office Manager. Brett is the least experienced operator in the office having spent only 10 years in the industry!

GARRY RANSON (Senior Consultant)
The newest addition to the Groups Tasmania team, Garry only started in May 2007. Prior to this he spent 28 years working for Tourism Tasmania of which he spent over 15 years as the Groups and Special Events consultant. Garry's knowledge of Tasmania, the Tourism Industry and in particular Group Travel is incomparable.
